Getting there

The Sun Fair is located on the Oak Lawn at the University of Western Australia by the Swan River in Crawley. The venue has shady trees and the University campus has beautiful gardens. The river is a favourite family picnic and fun location. Date for the fair is Sunday 9th April 2006.

Getting there

The Perth Sunfair encourages you to tread lightly on the Earth.  And you can soften your steps even further by leaving your car at home, and using alternative transport to get there.

UWA is well serviced by several alternative Transperth bus routes.  Routes 102 and 107, which link the University to the Perth Busport and the Wellington Street Bus Station, run a half-hourly service on Sundays.  Route 97 (the Subiaco Shuttle high frequency route) is also a very convenient way of getting to UWA, making regular runs from Subiaco Train Station and terminating on Fairway at the north west end of the campus.  Route 98/99 (the Circle Route) also operates a regular schedule on Sundays.  For more specific information regarding bus and train timetables, call Transperth help line on 13 62 13, or log on to http://www.transperth.wa.gov.au.

For those who live a little closer, a number of convenient pedestrian and cycle routes will lead you safely to the campus.  More information about walking and cycling to UWA’s Crawley campus can be found in the UWA/ Nedlands Access and Facilities Guide.  An electronic copy of the guide can be downloaded from the web at
http://www.ofm.uwa.edu.au/about/transport/maps.

For more information about sustainable transportation and related issues at UWA, please contact Naomi White (University Environment/ Transport Officer) direct on (08) 6488 7391.
